Match Report - 17 Oct 2009, Aldershot and Farnham Hockey Club Mens 4 drew with Old Mid Whitgiftians Men's 4's
Another pre-season friendly feel to things, albeit with a bit more momentum this week.
Taking the game to OMW we settled early and scored early, a well worked Dan S effort. As last week we conceded one almost immediately after. Unlike the last and previous weeks, we rode a little luck and were able to keep our scoreline ticking over, Daz finishing off a couple more well passed and taken efforts.
That should have been that.
With a snooze session on our part for the first 20 minutes of the second half, we found ourselves having to fight to get back into the game at 4-3 down.
Daz notched his hat-trick and then hit the post with virtually the last move of the game.
Another one of those games we could and probably should have got more out of, but, as first points of the season go, it could have been worse.
Sterling debuts from Tim and Craig up from the 5s, a nod to Roy, and thanks to Pimp for umpiring.
