Match Report - 19 Sep 2009, Aldershot and Farnham Hockey Club Mens 5 beat Fleet & Ewshot 4
Great effort today by a real "Dads and Lads" team. Oh and we found a captain at last...stand up Phil Mayes.
Took a 2-0 lead then were 4-1 up in second half but were pulled back to 4-3 by a Fleet comeback. Goals from Mike Alsop and a shock sweep from the top left of the D by Nigel Anderson.
The match saw the return of 2 ex-captains in Dave James in goal and George Wright in defence. Probably MoM went to Tom Dawes in midfield but all the youngsters did well and showed good energy on a scorching day.......
