So today was a day of firsts, our first U14Bs match in proper hockey conditions, i.e chucking it down with rain! Our first away match of the season, and first appearances for the U14s for Seamus and Noah…and cracking debut performances they were too.
Again sadly the score line didn’t reflect the tenacity and effort put in by the boys. We definitely dominated the game, even though Andover had no goalie and therefore more players outfield. However, even with our captain and Player of the Match Aiden showing his skills in mid field, we just couldn’t get it past their extremely strong LB to put it in the back of the net.
Other notable mentions from coach Matt for Lewis who was solid in defence, and Jay who had some excellent runs up the wing. Sadly not our first win of the season but that win is coming…onwards and upwards boys!!!
